Through the testimonies of the last surviving veterans, official documents, archival photographs, and historical reconstructions, Mutiny recounts the experience of Caribbean soldiers of the British West Indies Regiment during the First World War. At the heart of the documentary is the mutiny that broke out in Taranto in 1918, when soldiers protested the racism, humiliation, and unequal treatment they suffered. This was a pivotal episode in the birth of a new political and anti-colonial consciousness in the Caribbean.
